Teaching I Timothy 1:5- "Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith." Galatians 5:14 will help us understand what Paul wrote here in I Timothy. "For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself." The teachers Paul was referring to in I Timothy were not loving the people. They were teaching myths and endless genealogies from an impure heart! Same thing goes on in today's world and church; people teaching and preaching without love for their fellow man!
Let's all take heed: preaching and teaching must be Bible-based with love from a pure heart, taught with a good conscience, and with sincere faith in God!
